In addition to being convenient and reliable to control, its power system design is specifically tailored to meet the demands of modern day drilling applications. This rig configuration also harbors our signature digital SCR system which sets the standard for durability, efficiency and performance. Its modular components are easily accessed and serviced. Monitoring and troubleshooting have been made simple via a front mounted, human-machine interaction system with multi-language capabilities.

TFI VFD Skid Mounted Drilling Rigs have been designed to adopt the latest technology in AC control. They feature compact design, easy transportation, reduced energy consumption and easy operation. AC rigs deliver motor regenerative braking, better control of speed and load, and highly accurate auto-driller function at low ROP.

For the US market, TFI has designed TFI-800M and TFI-1000M mechanical rigs that use box-on-box substructure with both the drawworks and engines on the rig floor. Mud pumps are separately powered with diesel engines.
